Why are there exclusions on my policy?

Why are there exclusions on my policy?

All policies of all types contain exclusions. This is because most policies are designed to cover you for financial losses resulting from unforeseen circumstances. There are also caps, or limits, on conditions or treatment depending on the type and level of cover you purchase.

These exclusions might relate to your pet’s breed, pre-existing medical conditions, or failure to declare that your pet has a history of aggressive/destructive behaviour. There are also likely to be exclusions which apply to most pet insurance policies, such as the cost of vaccinations or grooming.

We cannot provide a comprehensive list of all exclusions across all the policies you can purchase through PetInsurance.co.uk - you must always refer to the policy documents, or contact the relevant sales team.
